Audience: Bark in the Park


PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Baseball and man’s best friend. Those are two of our favorite things, and our live audience Friday was from the Norfolk Tides to tell us about one of their most popular events of the season, Bark in the Park.

It’s an afternoon at Harbor Park with your four-legged canine friends.

  •     Bark in the Park 5/18 and a second added to the 2014 promotional calendar for 8/17 due to popularity
  •     Pre-game performance and in-game meet and greet by GARD (Greater Atlantic Rescue Dogs) and First Pitch and in-game meet and greet by Mrs. Virginia International, Cheryl Nelson.
  •     Post Game “dogs run the bases”
  •     Dog Tickets are $5 and will benefit the Norfolk Animal Care Center. Anyone who brings dog food with them to the gate will get a buy one get one free coupon for a ticket to the game.
