I am Hampton Roads: Lowell Evans

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Epilepsy is not a mental illness, it’s a disorder of the brain. It affects 1 in 100 people and can begin at any stage in life.

For Lowell Evans, it wasn’t until he was 20 years old that he discovered it affected him. His story about how he coped and how he is now bringing awareness made him this week’s “I Am Hampton Roads.”

Upcoming Speaking Engagements:

June 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Immanuel Baptist Church
Town Bridge Rd in Saluda, Va.

Lowell is also having the “Middlesex Epilepsy Seminar” on August 23, 2014 from 1-3pm. Here is the information.
