NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk City Council unanimously approved an interim agreement Tuesday night, giving the green light for S. B. Ballard to build five new schools.
Those plans include rebuilding Ocean View and Larchmont elementary, as well as Broad Creek and Campostella-area schools.
“The interim agreement … includes the demolition of Campostella elementary school, 35 percent design of the five schools, and the start of public engagement process (public hearings),” said city spokeswoman Lori Crouch.
The city’s budget for those four schools: about 88-million-dollars.
