VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A Mako shark is right off the coast of Virginia Beach.
Researchers are tracking a 5’ female named April. A tracking map showed her last ping about 50 miles off the shore of Virginia Beach.
Right now, most Great Whites are along the coast of Chile or southern Africa. Last year, WAVY.com showed you how a group of biologists tagged about two dozen sharks and about four of them travel up and down the East Coast.
