Giant duck to float in Hague

Pittsburgh

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A 40-foot duck is coming to Norfolk.

“Rubber Duck” by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman is making its way to Hampton Roads Saturday as part of the Chrysler Museum of Art’s grand reopening. The duck will float in the Hague from May 17 to May 26. So you’ll have plenty of time to see for yourself if it’s all it’s quacked up to be!

The duck has made stops around the world, including Sydney, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

Additionally, the museum’s Glass Studio is offering “Ducky Days,” which involve special hour-long sessions to create a cast-glass duckling. The cost of the session is $45 per duckling.

The Chrysler Museum of Art reopened May 10 after a $24 million renovation and expansion.
