NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A Norfolk woman will spend the next 20 years in prison for distributing large amounts of methamphetamine in the area.
Linda Marie Delarosa, 31, of Norfolk was sentenced Friday for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine, according to Deanna Warren with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Delarosa pleaded guilty to the conspiracy charge on December 17.
Warren said the statement of facts filed with her plea agreement stated Delarosa was a meth supplier in the Ashville, N.C. area. Beginning in 2012, she worked with others to get the drugs to eastern Virginia, and then she moved to Norfolk and transported the drugs herself “for repackaging and distributing” until August 2013, Warren said.
