SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Two people were taken to the hospital Friday night after a head-on crash in Suffolk.

Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk said the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Manning Road and Copeland Road.

One vehicle flipped over. The driver of that vehicle was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what were believed to be non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash had to be extricated, and was taken to the same hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Klink said the drivers were the only ones in the two vehicles.

The road was closed at the intersection for about two hours as investigators cleared the scene.
