CURRITUCK COUNTY,N.C. (WAVY) — Government Contracting Specialists (GCS) is moving its headquarters from Chesapeake to Currituck County, and new jobs are coming with it.
GCS received a $120,000 grant from the state, as well as a matching grant from Currituck County to make the move, which was announced by North Carolina Secretary of Commerce Sharon Decker on Friday. The business will be located on Highway 168 in Moyock, in the former Hall Honda building.
According to Public Information Officer Randall Edwards, GCS promises to create 60 jobs during its first three years in North Carolina.
GCS is a woman-owned, multi-service contracting company that provides engineering design, project management, classroom design and renovation, electrical engineering, and facilities renovation to government agencies and private businesses.
