SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police arrested a Norfolk woman Thursday, accusing her of abusing a juvenile family member.
On April 23, the Suffolk Grand Jury indicted 45-year-old Donna Evette Manson with the following charges: two counts of child abuse or neglect, child cruelty, aggravated malicious wounding, shoot, cut, stab or wound, failure to seek medical attention and abduction/kidnapping.
The indictments came after an investigation of allegations that Evette physically and emotionally abused a juvenile female family member who was in her care, according to Diana Klink with Suffolk police.
Klink said the charges are related to incidents that happened between September 1 and October 10. The police department conducted an investigation and then removed the child from her care.
Manson is being held without bond at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
