CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Police say a child on a bike was hit by a vehicle Friday evening.
Officers responded to the 2000 block of Allison Drive for a report of a vehicle hitting a bicyclist around 8 p.m., according to Detective Boykin with Chesapeake Police. Upon arrival, it appeared a 10-year-old boy on a bicycle had pulled out in front of a vehicle.
The boy was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured. Boykin said no charges are pending.
