VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Public works crews will add new stop signs to two Laskin Road intersections this weekend.

Virginia Beach Public Works Spokesman Drew Lankford said the stop signs will be added on the Baltic Avenue/Holly Road and Arctic Avenue approaches to the intersections, making them both four-way stop intersections.

The changes are being made based on studies that looked at traffic volume, vehicular and pedestrian safety concerns and driver expectations.

The signs are scheduled to go up on Sunday, if the weather permits.
