NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — U.S. Marshals captured a sex offender who they say was hiding in Virginia Beach.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Timothy Alley said Charlie Abrams was wanted out of West Virginia for failing to register as a convicted sex offender. Deputies received knowledge that he may have fled to Virginia Beach and been staying at a home in the 4700 block of Lone Willow Lane.
After an investigation, Abrams was spotted and deputies entered the house and took him into custody, Alley said.
Abrams was previously convicted in Norfolk of carnal knowledge of a victim, 13-15 years of age.
