SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) – One person was flown from a crash in Southampton County Thursday morning.
Maj. G.H. Drewery with the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office told WAVY.com the crash occurred in the 28000 block of Smith’s Ferry Road, also known as Route 258, around 7:15 a.m. and involved one vehicle.
Three people were injured in the crash. Two of the victims were taken to Southampton Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries while the third was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Drewery said this was more of a precaution.
The driver was charged with failure to maintain control.
