VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach police confirm a two-vehicle crash caused nine people to have injuries Wednesday night.
Around 7:40 p.m., a vehicle crashed into an HRT bus near the intersection of Virginia Beach Boulevard and North Lynnhaven Road, according to Public Information Officer Cain with the Virginia Beach Police Department.
There were 20 passengers on the bus, and eight were injured and transported to a local hospital for observation, including the driver. The driver of the other vehicle was also injured, but Cain said none of the injuries appeared to be very serious.
Police say the driver of the other vehicle ran a red light and was issued a summons.
