Man badly burned in mobile home fire

JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) – A James City County man suffered severe burns all over his body when his mobile home caught fire early Saturday morning.

According to a fire department spokesman, fire crews were called to Marston’s Trailer Park off Centerville Road around 1:30 a.m. for reports of a single-wide trailer on fire.

The man who lived in the mobile home suffered severe burn injuries to his face, neck and arms. Medics transported him to the Riverside Trauma Center in Newport News for treatment.

No firefighters were injured battling the fire.

The mobile home was heavily damaged but the fire did not extend to any of the other homes in the park, according to a fire department spokesman.

Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
