Arrest made in Norfolk shooting investigation

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Police have made an arrest in the investigation of a shooting that happened near Booker T. Washington High School last month.

Eddie Black, 35, of Suffolk was arrested on April 18 in Norfolk, according to Daniel Hudson with the Norfolk Police Department. He was charged with the following offenses: felonious assault, possession with intent to sell or distribute, revocation of suspended sentence and probation, failure to appear on misdemeanor charge.

Police say Black’s charges are related to a shooting on March 22 in the 1300 block of East Princess Anne Road. The adult male victim survived gunshot wounds that left him in serious, but stable condition.

Black is being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
