NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A house fire in Newport News spread to three additional structures and damaged a fourth Wednesday night.
Newport News dispatchers say fire crews were dispatched to the 100 block of Tyner Driver for a house fire. Assistant Fire Chief Robert Craft said the occupants of the house were not injured or displaced.
The fire spread to two sheds and a detached garage, according to Craft. A nearby house was also damaged by radiant heat, but not structurally.
The fire is under investigation. Craft said the point of origin is not yet known.
