EASTERN SHORE, Va. (WAVY) — The body of a fisherman who mysteriously disappeared along the York River around Christmas washed up more than 30 miles away.

Investigators said the current was strong that night and water temperatures were in the 40’s.

Last Wednesday, nearly four months later, people walking near Raccoon Island on the Eastern Shore discovered his body.

10 On Your Side talked to Webb’s sister shortly after the Coast Guard called off the search. She told us he was an army veteran who loved fishing.
