NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – A group of people in Newport News gathered to play cornhole Saturday, raising money for a little boy who is fighting cancer.
8-year-old Wes Pak is battling stage four neuroblastoma, and he has an ‘army’ fighting along with him. They call themselves Wes’ Army Cancer Soldiers. The group is led by his parents, who are supported by others in the community.
The money raised in Saturday’s cornhole tournament and expo will help pay for Wes’ medical treatment.
