Hit-and-run suspect sought by police

One injured in head-on collision

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk Police say the suspect of a vehicle crash Monday evening fled the scene before officers arrived.

Around 11:15 p.m., an officer responded to a section of Whaleyville Boulevard for a two-vehicle, hit-and-run crash, according to Diana Klink with Suffolk Police.

The driver still at the scene told the officer than another vehicle had caused the crash, but left.

An investigation revealed the suspect, traveling south, passed and almost crashed into the victim. That caused the victim to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a guard rail, causing minor damage to the rail and moderate damage to the vehicle.

The suspect vehicle then fled the scene.

Victim was unable to give any description of the suspect vehicle.
