Cash stolen from Military Highway Exxon

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Police are trying to figure out who stole cash from a Chesapeake gas station Friday evening.

Just after 6 p.m., officers responded to the Exxon Gas Station at 3591 South Military Highway for a petty larceny, according to Detective Boykin with the Chesapeake Police Department.

An investigation indicates the suspect reached into the cash register and took cash. Boykin said the suspect did not force anyone to do anything against his or her will, no one was injured and no weapons were involved. He fled the scene in a newer model white Acura.

The suspect is described as a black male, about six feet tall and 200 pounds, wearing a baseball hat backwards, brown/tan striped shirt.
