PD: Armed suspects rob NN pizza shop

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Police say two armed men robbed a Newport News pizza shop, getting away with cash and credit cards.

Harold Eley with the Newport News Police Department said two men went into $5 Pizza, located at 200 Beech Dr., and robbed the clerks at gun and knife-point.

Investigators said the two men came into the restaurant through an open back door. One suspect, armed with a silver-colored handgun, went up to a female clerk and demanded “all the money.” Eley said the other suspect held two other employees at knife-point. One of the men also grabbed a clerk’s purse, containing cash and credit cards, as they left the business.

The suspects were described by police as follows:

  • Suspect 1: B/M, 20-25 years old, 6’ 0”to 6’ 1”, 180-190 lbs., wearing a black mask over his face, white in color shirt, black cap, carrying a silver in color handgun. He was very aggressive and appeared to be in charge.
  • Suspect 2: W/M, 22-23 years old, 5’ 10” to 5’ 11”, about 160 lbs., wearing a yellow mask over his face, glasses with a light tint and carrying a small knife.
