Dyson recalls portable heaters for fire risk

Dyson is recalling hundreds of thousands of electric heaters due to a fire hazard.

The recall is for all Dyson Hot heaters and Dyson Hot+Cool heaters, with the model number AM04 and all Dyson Hot+Cool heaters with the model number AM05. You can find the model number above the Dyson logo on the product information sticker on the underside of the heater’s base.

The heaters have no external fan blades.

Dyson is aware of at least 82 reports of the recalled heaters short-circuiting and overheating.

No injuries have been reported.

If you own this product, stop using it immediately, unplug the recalled heater and contact Dyson for a free repair.

The heaters are sold at major retailers across the U.S. and Canada.
