Tractor-trailer crash causes diesel spill

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – An overturned tractor-trailer spilled nearly two dozen gallons of fuel onto a Chesapeake roadway Tuesday morning.

Capt. Scott Saunders with the Chesapeake Fire Department told crews were dispatched to the intersection of Pughsville Road and Bromay Street around 8:15 a.m. for a crash involving a tractor-trailer.

There, they found diesel fuel leaking from the saddle-tanks of the vehicle. About 20 gallons spilled on the ground.

No one was injured in the crash. Further information was not immediately available.
