Nip joint bust in Suffolk yields drugs, guns

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Suffolk Police arrested a 58-year-old man over the weekend after executing a search warrant on a nip joint investigation.

Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk told WAVY.com officers executed the search warrant on an apartment in the 900 block of Brook Avenue Friday. There, they found two sawed off shotguns, marijuana, cocaine and alcohol.

Haywood Miles Riddick, Jr. of Suffolk was arrested and charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, unlawful possession or use of sawed off shotgun, illegal sale of alcoholic beverages and alcohol violations while armed with a firearm.

Klink said additional charges may be forthcoming.
