Man shot in Norfolk expected to recover

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Norfolk Police are investigating a shooting that injured a man along Walker Avenue early Monday morning.

Norfolk Police and Norfolk Fire-Rescue were called to a home in the 300 block of Walker Avenue in the South Norfolk section of the city around 1 a.m. for a report of a gunshot victim.

According to Officer Daniel Hudson with the Norfolk Police Department, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside the home. He was was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives are still working to determine a motive and there is no suspect information. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
