Juvenile stabbed in Ocean View

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Police detectives are investigating the stabbing of a juvenile in the Ocean View area Friday evening.

Police dispatchers received a 911 call around 6 p.m. for a stabbing victim in the 100 block of W. Ocean View Avenue, according to Officer Daniel Hudson with the Norfolk Police Department.

Norfolk Police and Fire-Rescue responded and found one juvenile male suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound. The victim was treated and released to his guardians at the scene.

Hudson said the suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Detectives are currently investigating this incident. They say it appears the victim and suspect knew each other.
