WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — A vehicle crashed into the Williamsburg Wine & Design building Tuesday morning.

Around 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 100 block of Bacon Avenue, according to Major Greg Riley with the Williamsburg Police Department. Upon arrival, they saw a mid-sized Ford sedan had crashed into the side of a building.

The vehicle driver, 94-year-old George Wood Williamson, was transported to Williamsburg Sentara Hospital as a precaution, but Riley said no one was injured.

The investigation indicated Williamson lost control of the vehicle while maneuvering it in the parking lot. He was charged with reckless driving.
