NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Non Commissioned Officers Association of the United States of America (NCOA) is hosting a Career Expo Thursday in Norfolk.
33 local and national companies were on hand to talk with more than 650 people looking for jobs. The goal of the Career Expo is to get military members back to to work after their military career is done.
“Fairs like this help those transferring out of the military because they’ve always had a job. They’ve been told what to do. They’ve never really looked for a job, most of them in their lives. They joined the military. They served and they served us well,” said Jeri Glowacki, Director Of Operations.
Companies at the Expo included Northop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, the State Department, and DOD contractors.
The NCOA Career Expo ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hilton Norfolk Airport, located at 1500 N. Military Highway. Click here for more event information.
