Girl injured by rock thrown through bus window

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A girl was injured Wednesday by a rock thrown through a school bus window in Norfolk.

Officer Daniel Hudson with the Norfolk Police Department said the incident happened in the area of Virginia Beach Boulevard and Wide Street around 7:35 p.m. Witnesses told police they saw a boy throw a rock at a passing school bus.

Hudson said the rock went through the school bus window, and hit a girl in the back of the head. She was treated and released on the scene.

Police searched the area but did not find any suspects.
