Va. Beach school bus involved in crash

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach City school bus was involved in a vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon, but no students were injured.

Tonya Borman with Virginia Beach Police said just before 2:30 p.m. a vehicle was traveling north on Kempsville Road near the intersection with Albright Drive when a second vehicle merged into the same lane, pushing the first vehicle over a median.

After crossing the median, the vehicle struck Virginia Beach School bus #7, but no one on the bus was injured. The driver of the vehicle received minor injuries to his hand, but was treated at the scene.

Borman said no charges have been filed, but the crash is still being investigated.
