School bus involved in Newport News crash

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – A school bus was involved in a crash with two other vehicles in Newport News Monday afternoon.

The accident happened at the intersection of Warwick and Denbigh Boulevards just before 4 p.m.

According to Lou Thurston with Newport News Police, the school bus and the vehicle behind it were stopped at a red light when another car ran into the car causing it to hit the school bus.

There were no children on the bus and there was very minor damage to the bus.

The driver of the second car, 63-year-old Dwight Bryant, was charged with reckless driving.
