Man to serve 13 years in sex abuse case

prison bars

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A Virginia Beach man who pleaded guilty in November to four counts of aggravated sexual battery will spend a total of 13 years and four months in prison for the crimes.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Colin Stolle said if the case had gone to trial, evidence would have proven that Quentin Taylor, 49, abused a teenage boy on multiple occasions between September 2004 and December 2006. The victim went to the Virginia Beach Police Department in July 2013 to report the abuse.

During the investigation, Stolle says Taylor admitted the abuse to detectives.

Judge H. Thomas Padrick sentenced Taylor to 40 years in prison, with 26 years and eight months suspended.
