Fire rips through Chesapeake home

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – A Chesapeake home and two vehicles became engulfed in fire Monday.

When firefighters arrived at the residence in the 200 block of Stubbs Drive around 5:15 p.m., heavy smoke was showing from the one-story home, according to Capt. Scott Saunders.

That’s in the Deep Creek section of Chesapeake.

Chopper 10 flew over the scene. Video showed smoke pouring out of the roof of the home.

No one was injured in the fire, but two adults were displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
