Robbery suspect faces kidnapping charge

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A 20-year-old man has been charged in connection to a robbery in Suffolk.

Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk told WAVY.com Delvontae Jamar Garvin of Suffolk was arrested and charged with abduction and kidnapping; robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The robbery occurred March 6 in the 200 block of Lewis Avenue around 10:20 p.m. when Garvin reportedly robbed an 18-year-old at gunpoint, taking the victim’s driver’s license and other items.

Additional charges may be filed, Klink said.
