Man sought in Suffolk vehicle break-ins

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Suffolk Police need help identifying a man officers say has been breaking into vehicles for a month.

Tim Kelley with the City of Suffolk said the incidents have been happening since the second week of February along North Main Street.

The suspect has targeted nearly 20 vehicles between 2 p.m. and midnight. The vehicles have been parked in shopping centers and restaurants. Some of the victims left personal items in plain view.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s standing 6’ and weighing 200 pounds. Anyone who recognizes him should call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
