SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A portion of Interstate 664 was closed for some time Tuesday morning after a crash.
Sgt. Michelle Anaya with Virginia State Police said the crash involved entrapment in the southbound lanes of the interstate near Route 17. Nightingale was called to the scene and took off just before 7:30 a.m.
Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk said the crash occurred around 6:45 a.m.
All southbound lanes were closed as crews worked the scene. Anaya said traffic was going to be detoured to Route 17. Traffic began to move on the right shoulder by 7:35 a.m. and all lanes were open just after 8 a.m.
