JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Crews were called to a manufacturing warehouse in Williamsburg Monday afternoon after an employee was injured.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 11:15 a.m. to Nicewood Enterprises, Inc. on Westmont Drive for a report of a traumatic injury, according to Chief Bob Ryalls with the James City County Fire Department. Medics arrived at the scene at 11:23 .m. and the employee was taken to MCV in Richmond, which is a level 1 trauma center.
Ryalls said the 30-year-old man fell off a forklift and caught his hand, crushing his fingers. The injury was confined to his hand.
The man lives in the Toano area, Ryalls said.
