AEGEAN SEA – The crew of the USS Bataan rescued two mariners after their vessel got stuck near Greece.

A Turkish tanker ran aground in the Aegean Sea, according to the U.S. Navy. After  receiving a distress call, the Navy said Bataan’s Search and Rescue helicopter responded and rescued two men. The crew took the men back to USS Bataan to be assessed.

The Bataan Amphibious Ready Group pulled out of Norfolk last month on a scheduled deployment.
