Fire at vacant Virginia Beach house deemed suspicious

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Friday morning, firefighters responded to a vacant two-story house in Virginia Beach for a report of a fire.

Fire units were dispatched to a residential fire in the 2200 block of Chick’s Beach Court around 10:48 a.m., according to Bat. Chief Amy Valdez.

The fire was on the first floor of the building and quickly extinguished. Valdez said the fire was suspicious in nature, but the cause is still not determined.
