NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – When Old Dominion hosts East Carolina in the final home game of the 2013-14 season, Monarch fans will say goodbye to one of the most popular players on the team, senior center Anton Larsen from Denmark.
While Larsen’s minutes have been limited, his infectious personality and work ethic will not be forgotten anytime soon.
“Everybody roots for Anton because he’s such a good person,” head coach Jeff Jones told the Sportswrap.
“He’s well respected, it’s easy to see how much his teammates care for him,” Jones said.
Larsen says he will have mixed emotions heading into his final game at the Ted Constant Center.
“You’re sad for this to be over, you are also happy for what you have been through, what you have learned,” Larsen said.
“I’m looking forward to it, but I’m also going to miss this place.”
