RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina Department of Transportation will halt traffic on both sides of the Herbert C. Bonner Bridge on N.C. 12 over the Oregon Inlet in Dare County at 9 a.m. Monday, March 10.
The traffic will stop for approximately 30 minutes while the Location and Surveys Unit performs a routine mobile scan of the bridge. NCDOT said in a news release, the scan is one of several scheduled throughout the year to check for any movement of the bridge.
Signs will be posted to alert drivers, who should expect delays and plan accordingly.
