Crews respond to fire at Grafton flower shop

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Firefighters responded to a commercial fire in the Grafton area Wednesday night.

Around 9:20 p.m., a 911 call came in to emergency communications about a fire at Willows Fine Flowers and Gifts in the 400 block of Grafton Drive, according to the York County Fire Department. The caller reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the building.

When fire crews arrived at the scene, they also saw heavy smoke and fire, but were able to control the flames in about 30 minutes. Firefighters believe the fire started in the attic, but are unsure of the cause at this time.

No one was injured.
