NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Virginia Secretary of Education Anne Holton read to children at Norfolk’s James Monroe Elementary School Friday.

Her visit was part of the kickoff for Read Across America, which celebrates reading on the birthday of author Dr. Seuss each year. This year’s Read Across America Day is Monday, March 3.
