CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WAVY) – On Saturday all eyes will be on Charlottesville, when #12 Virginia, the top team in the conference, will take on #4 Syracuse with the regular season championship on the line.
Wednesday night, Virginia survived a “trap-game” when it blew out Miami 65-40. With the Hurricanes in the rear-view mirror, the Cavs can finally talk about the game that fans have been clamoring months for.
“We can finally talk about it now,” first-year guard London Perrantes told affiliate WVIR. “Nobody’s in our way, it’s going to be a great atmosphere.”
Virginia has won 12 games in a row and they come into Saturday’s game a confident group.
“You have to think this is a very good team, one of the best in the country,” guard Malcolm Brogdon said. “At the same time you go into the game knowing we are very good and we are supposed to win this game.”
