VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Smoke could be seen wafting from a marsh fire in Virginia Beach Thursday afternoon.
Virginia Beach police dispatchers said the marsh fire was near Horn Point Road and Muddy Creek Road, in the Back Bay area. It was called in around 2:58 p.m.
Dispatchers said no injuries had been reported, and the fire was strictly in the marsh.
All fire units had cleared the scene by 4:30 p.m. No information has been released yet about how the fire started.
