VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A command master chief has been relieved of his duties at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story.

According to a release from the Navy, Master Chief Petty Officer Yves Raynaud was relieved Monday due to a loss of confidence in his ability to serve as the command’s senior enlisted advisor.

Raynaud served in the position since Oct. 7, 2013. He has been temporarily reassigned to the staff of the Commander of Navy Region Mid-Atlantic in Norfolk.

Senior Chief Petty Office Johnlyn Bolden will serve as the acting command master chief until a permanent replacement is found.
