SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man suspected in a Suffolk murder over the summer was arrested in Tennessee Tuesday morning.

22-year-old Jeffrey O’Neil Jennings was arrested in Nashville for the murder of 26-year-old Lloyd Randolph Green, Sr., according to Diana Klink with the Suffolk Police Department. Jennings has been on Suffolk’s Most Wanted List since June 29, when police say he killed Green around 1 .m. in the 1000 block of Cogic Square.Cogic_Square_homicide

The pair were allegedly in an argument, and investigators believe the situation calmed before Jennings tracked Green down and shot him in the back of the head. Then, Jennings is believed to have stood over the body and fired more shots at point blank range, according to Deputy Tim Alley with the U.S. Marshals Service.

Suffolk police worked with the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force in Norfolk to find and arrest Jennings, who is charged with first degree murder, felonious assault, shoot/stab in commission of a felony, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm in public, and two counts of manufacture, sale, possession of controlled substances.

Jennings is being held at the Criminal Justice Center in Nashville, awaiting extradition to Suffolk.
