NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Homicide detectives have arrested a second suspect in last week’s fatal shooting at the Majik City II Gentlemen’s Club.

On Friday, 25-year-old Brandon Heath Morris was arrested on one charge of being principal in the second degree to murder, according to Lou Thurston with the Newport News Police Department.

Last Wednesday, when police arrived at the Majik City II Gentlemen’s Club on Jefferson Avenue around 1:45 a.m., they found the club’s owner, Issac Oiugbenga Oshin, with a gunshot wound in his torso. He died at the scene.

Witnesses told police an altercation occurred inside the club and the suspects left in a red car. A short time later, an unknown car pulled into the club parking lot and one person got out and shot Oshin in the club’s entry way.

Thurston said Morris was the driver of the suspect car.

Morris was arrested after voluntarily going to NNPD headquarters to talk to detectives about the incident. He is being held in the custody of the Newport News City Jail.

Police are asking anyone who saw a red car near the 5800 block of Jefferson Avenue around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday or anyone with any information about the shooting to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
