Man pleads guilty to campground aggravated sexual battery

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) – A man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a Northampton County campground last year has pleaded guilty to several charges.

Police say 20-year-old Caleb Ryan Parks sexually assaulted a woman in the bath house near Cherrystone Family Campground’s general store in October 2014.

The victim said the suspect was reportedly wearing a Halloween mask at the time. He was described as a man in his early 20s standing 5’8” with a slim build, blond hair and acne. A week later police arrested Parks in connection to this crime.

Parks was charged with object sexual penetration and two counts of strangulation.

On Jan. 27, 2015, Parks pleaded guilty to two counts of strangulation, one count of aggravated sexual batter, one county of malicious wounding and abduct with intent to defile. A charge of object sexual penetration was nolle prossed.

A sentencing date has not been set.
